Devotees Experience

Swami ji simultaneously appears at England and Jalandhar

On the day of 21st July 1985, Swami ji was leaving for England. It had rained heavily since the morning of 19th July. Swami ji predicted that the rain was signalling something ominous. Nonetheless, Swami ji had decided to travel to England. However his heart was in Jalandhar as he had forseen a mishap in the city. His physical body was going to England but his heart was left behind. As if one body of Swami ji was travelling to England and another one of the same appearance was staying back to help A. S. Sharma (municipal commissioner of Jalandhar of that time). Swami ji had a great affection for him. The city was soon inundated with flood. When the flood situation turned to extreme and all the human efforts failed, Mr. Sharma prayed to Swami ji in the shrine of his heart. He sincerely prayed: “Swami ji, it is beyond my capability now! Only you can save this town – Jalandhar.’ His heartfelt prayer reached Swami ji and exactly at 11:00 a.m. in the morning, Swami Ji called Mr. Sharma from England and said: “Sharma ji, hope you are not afraid. Don’t worry I am there with you.” Mr. Sharma began to weep like a child over the phone. Overwhelmed with emotions, he said-“You already know everything. Oh Omniscient, you don’t need to ask me!” Then he heard Swami ji saying “Don’t tell this to anyone; keep it in your heart only because when we tell, the emotions behind the words change. The one who is talking to you over the phone is the one standing near you. Turn around and see who is there with you.” The moment Commissioner Sahib turned around, he found Swami ji standing before him. His Lord was himself standing in front of him. He hugged Swami ji and cried. He held Swami ji’s feet and said-“My Lord, my Helper, I know I give you a lot of troubles.” Swami ji then said-“Who was on the phone commissioner Sahib?” “You, my lord! Please stay with me forever like this! Always shower your merciful grace on me so that I may never get lost!”, Mr. Sharma prayed to Swami ji. Shri Avinash Kapoor was there with Swami ji in England. He was amazed to hear Swami ji’s conversation. He came to him and asked-“Swami ji, whom were you talking with?” “One of my devotees from Jalandhar had called me. I was talking to him; reassuring him so that he is not afraid of anything”. At that time Kapoor Sahib didn’t completely believe in it. When he came back to Jalandhar, he went to Mr. Sharma and asked him: “What did Swami ji talk to you over the phone from England? Did he actually come here?” Expressing himself in words replete with emotions, Mr. Sharma told Shri Kapoor: “He not only came here but he was standing right before me; he helped me in saving the city.” Both the devotees of Swami Ji were overwhelmed after experiencing this miracle of their divine Guru.

Oh Hari, You Are My Sole Saviour!

In 1974 Swami JI visited Rajasthan. He took a sack of rice (40 kg) for the mass meal distribution (bhandara) at his Guru JI’s ashram. His Car sped up for Torda ashram, Jaipur Rajasthan. On the way, at the border of state Harayana near Bhivani his car was stopped by D. S. P. Sri Ram and Inspector Sri Prabhu Dayal. Along with few other cops of Harayana Police. Swami Ji was not aware of the fact that transporting rice from one state to another was not allowed. When they found the rice sack, D. S. P. said: “We have caught a big fish today!” “What do you mean by that?” asked Swami JI. “You shall understand the meaning in an hour, just wait!” said the D. S. P. The rice sack was brought out of the car and sent to the local police station. Swami Ji too went to Bhivani Police Station accompanied by the Sikh driver. Swami JI said to him: “If the police is torturing us unnecessarily just for extorting money then give it to them and shut their mouths.” Now driver went to the station inspector and said: “If you want the money, just tell us and let us go.” When the inspector didn’t budge, Swami Ji asked him: “Only rice is banned or are there any other items banned for transport? Is sugar also banned?” “No, sugar is not banned.”, replied the D. S. P. “ Ok then, I was only taking sugar with me. So you are making a case on what grounds?” asked Swami Ji. “Swami Ji, it doesn’t suit you to lie being a Saint! Your sack was full of rice only!” “I am not lying, it must be you who is lying!”, Swami JI replied with a smile and asked: “Where is that sack of rice that I brought? Show it to me.” Inspector Sri Prabhu Dayal ordered the station staff to bring that sack. When it was presented they said “there is only rice in it” but Swami Ji insisted them to open it. When it was opened, everybody was shocked as it was full of ‘Sugar’. Now as people started gathering at the Police station; belt, pants of the D. S. P. went loose. Swami Ji said: “Now tell me who is lying? In future, do not trouble any Saint, else there shall be adverse consequences. You shall have to pay for it. Sri Ram, you have wasted my time a lot; I would have reached at my Guru’s ashram by this time.” D. S. P. Sahib was standing there with his hands folded and prayed to him-“Swami Ji we didn’t recognize you. We are ordinary creatures of this earthly world. We hope that you will forgive us.” Swami Ji smiled and said: “I may forgive you, but the One who rules over this world, how He will forgive you?” “Swami Ji, we see that Lord too in you only. The whole station tried pleasing Swami Ji. Tea, cold-drink, sweets, etc. etc… were offered to Swami Ji. Whole staff was trying to placate Swami Ji to forgive them. “You enjoy the tea and do your duty.” with these words Swami Ji left for Rajasthan and after some time he was with his Guru Ji. “What’s in this sack?” asked Guru JI. “ Guru Ji, you know what is in there”, Swami Ji answered politely. “Certainly not, I don’t know what is in there!” When Guru JI asked to open the sack, there was rice in it instead of sugar. Mass meal was prepared for the devotees and after being offered to the Lord first, it was distributed among everyone there.
